Keep the stripe map beside the yarn

Meadow Drift uses back-loop texture and a repeating soft-color sequence, with lap, throw and large options. Select one size and mark its row map before beginning. Do not mix the starting count from one size with the row schedule from another.

Keep a note at each color change: row completed, stitch count and next shade. The throw layout uses the repeat schedule in the PDF; do not count partially hidden stripes in a styled image to determine the number of rows.

Check width and length independently

Measure a swatch in the specified stitch pattern. Back-loop fabric has a distinct texture, so a swatch in a different stitch will not verify the same behavior. Record both stitches and rows over the measuring span.

If the width is correct but the length differs, compare row gauge before adding repeats. Extra rows affect the stripe balance and yarn requirements. Any border also needs to be planned from the actual body dimensions, not only the target size.

These notes help you evaluate colors, scale and preparation. They do not replace a complete cutting list or row-by-row recipe.
